Back at the Kitten Farm East, Billy learned to recognize the sound of the garage door opening, and developed a particular meow for the interval between the door opening and Drew actually coming into the house: "I know Daddy's home, but where is he?? Meow!"
It took less than two weeks for the "Daddy's home!" meow to reappear. Last night he announced Drew's return in classic Mournful Billy style.
Unfortunately, the "Where's breakfast?" meow has also returned, and greeted us way too early this morning. Sigh...
The power meowing (and associated early morning noisy exploring of our bedside table contents) was made even better for me because my new job requires I carry a pager, and it went off twice last night as well. So two work pages, and two cat pages.
