If you look carefully to the right, you'll notice the serene boys are on the futon in Katherine's new office with wall-to-wall carpeting and painted (not wallpapered) walls. For a comparison, you can look back at the boys on the futon in the original kitten farm. (The flashback is also a reminder that they don't always nap so well together.)
